Albury Central Inc
Since 1999, Albury Central has been funded by a levy on all commercial businesses located within the Albury CBD boundaries of Wilson Street, Hume Street, Young Street and Wodonga Place.
The funds raised annually are directed towards activities designed to bring people to the Albury CBD to shop, eat out, attend appointments, utilise professional services etc.
The organisation is managed by a voluntary committee of management made up of people - business owners, managers and employees who are committed to keeping Albury vibrant so that ALL businesses within the area benefit.
There are two part time staff members who work behind the scenes to promote the vibrancy of Albury's CBD.
Each year, the committee and staff work hard to make the following things happen;
• Albury Central Traders Market Day
• Emergency Services Day
• Applause Street Theatre & Buskers Festival
• Gold Cup support activities
• Christmas in the Heart Retail promotion and window competition
• Business Breakfasts featuring speakers such as Robyn Moore, Justin Herald and Debra Templar
• Retail promotions
• Member Nights for Networking
• “This Heart Will Make you Smile” Television Campaign
• Open House functions at member businesses
• Supported Tourism initiatives
• Provided conference and event delegates with CBD maps and trader specials
• Kept you up to date with what’s going on through our monthly electronic newsletters
These things will not happen without Albury Central and the Traders support.
